Located in the picturesque Alpine/Marfa region of West Texas, this camp offers a combination of rigorous training and breathtaking scenery, all under the guidance of some of the top coaches in the nation. Join us to refine your skills, enjoy unique team bonding experiences, and prepare for your next big race with confidence.

Camp Highlights:

  • Expert Guidance: Train under the watchful eyes of Natasha Van Der Merwe, CEO of NVDM Coaching, Head Coach and Former World-Class pro triathlete Chris Lieto, Harold Wilson, Senior Coach and Team Strength coach who carries multiple degrees from Exercise Physiology to Kinesiology and more, and our skilled assistant coaches.
  • Stunning Location: Experience the historic charm of Alpine/Marfa and the incredible landscapes of West Texas.
  • Personalized Coaching: Benefit from an exceptional 4:1 athlete-to-coach ratio, ensuring personalized attention and tailored advice.

About the Camp:

This camp is designed for athletes who are:

  • Able to swim 1000 yards continuously and comfortable in open water.
  • Capable of biking 30+ miles continuously.
  • Prepared to run 6+ miles continuously.

Ideal for Athletes Who Are:

  • Aiming to complete their first 70.3 or 140.6 race.
  • Looking to improve past performances.
  • Striving to qualify for World Championships.

Training Focus Areas:

  • Skill Development: Enhance your technique across swimming, biking, and running.
  • Hands-On Coaching: Direct feedback and strategic advice from leading triathlon coaches.
  • Fellowship and Team Building: Connect with fellow triathlon enthusiasts in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Camp Features:

  • Accommodation: Comfortable lodging is provided at Sul Ross University.
  • Meals: Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner to fuel your training days.
  • Coached Sessions: Includes swim clinics, multiple bike rides with comprehensive support, long runs, a transition clinic, and a strength session with the team's strength coach.
  • Additional Offerings: An optional bike handling clinic to sharpen your skills.

Camp Fees include: 

  • Lodging at Sul Ross University
  • Daily Continental Breakfast and select lunches & dinners 
  • Team bonding activities outside of training
  • Supported & Coached Training Sessions, including:

  • Multiple supported rides with sag and safety support and fully stocked aid stations
  • Supported long runs with fully stocked aid stations
