Coach Harold

Head Coach Strength Coach
Smart Coaching Meets Strong Practical Application

Coach Harold did his first triathlon in 1999, and just like many others, after crossing that finish line he fell in love with the sport. Coach Harold has since gone on to finish 25+ Ironman-distance triathlons, but more importantly made sport’s science his life’s passion. Harold achieved a BS in Kinesiology then went on to graduate school at the University of Texas to earn a Master’s in Exercise Physiology.

While attending graduate school, Harold worked in the Human Performance Lab studying metabolic outcomes, blood flow kinetics, and environmental physiology.

As a compliment to the formal education, Coach H has held many certifications including USAT, USAT&F, USAW, and CSCS, among others.

Coach H has been coaching triathletes since 2005 with much success whether that meant crossing the first finish line or qualifying for the Ironman World Championships. Coach Harold has molded his coaching philosophy over the years to stand on four pillars.

  1. Proper physiological assessment

  2. Proper short-term and long-term goal setting

  3. Intelligent and specific training plans

  4. Healthy balance of family, work, life, and sport
