VO2 Max & RMR Testing

What is Vo2 Max Testing?

The Vo2 max test is a graded exercise test to maximum effort that measures the volume of oxygen that can be consumed and utilized. This is a great marker for endurance athletic potential. With the Vo2 max test, we can measure Vo2 max, ventilatory thresholds 1 and 2, and other data points such as FATmax. Then, these data points can be overlaid with power and heart rate to set up training zones. 

Who is Vo2 Max Testing For?

The Vo2 max test is for any athlete that wants to accurately measure aerobic capacity in order to benchmark and measure development.

What is RMR Testing?

In addition to the Vo2 max test we can also measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) with the Vo2 Analyzer. RMR is the measurement of caloric expenditure at rest. This data point is necessary for calculating nutrition strategies for training and aesthetic goals.

    In-person Vo2 Max Testing conducted by NVDM Coaching Senior Coach, Harold Wilson
    Valid for 7 days
    • In-Person Vo2 Max Testing (MUST BE IN AUSTIN, TEXAS)
    • HR Zone and Power Zone Prescription
    • FatMax Calculation (highest output while oxidizing fat)
    • VT1, VT2, Vo2 max as it relates to power and HR
  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Testing

    In-person RMR Testing conducted by NVDM Coaching Senior Coach, Harold Wilson
    Valid for 7 days
    • In-Person RMR Testing (MUST BE IN AUSTIN, TEXAS)
    • Accurately Measure Daily Caloric Demand at Rest
    • Critical Data for Athletes Looking for Body Comp Changes
