Assistant Coach
Lauren Burgett
Athletes working with Lauren can expect a supportive, analytical, and athlete-centered coaching experience focused on sustainable growth, evidence-based training, and long-term success.
LAUREN BURGETT’S path to endurance coaching blends high-level multisport experience with a deep foundation in science and medicine. A lifelong competitive swimmer, Lauren found triathlon in 2016 after an ACL tear pushed her toward cross-training—an inflection point that reshaped her athletic career and ultimately her coaching philosophy. Since then, she has competed with purpose across every distance, from super-sprint to full IRONMAN.
Lauren brings a rare perspective to coaching. She draws not only from her own performance background, but also from her academic training in neuroscience and medicine. Currently a medical student at Columbia University in New York City, she applies a rigorous, evidence-based understanding of physiology and health to help athletes train smarter, adapt effectively, and stay healthy over the long term. Her years of training under high-level coaches further shape a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach.
As a coach, Lauren emphasizes balance—pairing structure with flexibility and performance with joy. She works collaboratively with athletes to build fitness and confidence while respecting the realities of school, work, and life outside sport. Her philosophy is simple: be all-in, but never all-consumed.
Athletes working with Lauren can expect a supportive, analytical, and athlete-centered coaching experience focused on sustainable growth, evidence-based training, and long-term success.
